Dear Ferrysburg Community Church Family,
Enclosed in this packet you will find the proposed ministry budget for 2019 from Council and the Finance Team. Even though we’re not done with 2018, it’s safe to say this has been a wonderful year of serving God together. Our vision of becoming like Jesus is more fully integrated into our church. Guests are coming to our services regularly. Recent upgrades to our facility and children’s ministries are bearing fruit. Giving has been as strong as ever. We have a new logo, a new website, and a new way to connect through the FCC app. We have grown deeper connections with each other and our community. The launch of the LifeGroups ministry promises more growth for the future. 2018 has been an excellent year on every front. We are grateful for your support. We are most grateful to God for his grace and blessing this year.
The financial plan for 2019 is attached to this letter. One item of special note is that Council has approved a six-week sabbatical for Pastor Nate next spring. The key part of this sabbatical will be a trip to Israel to study and learn in the land of the Bible. We are excited to share more details with you at the congregational meeting and in the months to come. Please take some time to review the budget. We ask that you prayerfully consider this financial plan and bring your questions and comments to the upcoming congregational meeting. We also ask that you prayerfully consider how God is calling you to support this financial plan and the ministry it facilitates.
The congregational meeting to discuss the budget will take place on November 18 immediately following the service. If you have further questions, please direct them to a member of Council or the Finance Team. The congregational vote will take place on November 25 during the service. If you will not be there to vote on the 25th, please find an absentee ballot below with more available in the church office. A ballot box is also located in the church office. Please drop off or mail your ballot to church by the vote on November 25. If there are any reasons that the budget needs to be revised after the congregational meeting, the vote will be pushed back to allow adequate time to review the revisions.
Thank you for your support of God’s work at Ferrysburg Community Church.
