Staff

Ferrysburg Community Church is led by a group of elders and deacons that make up our Council.  Our staff also equips and coordinates our congregation for ministry.

Nate Visker, Pastor

Nate has been the pastor at FCC since 2004, when he moved here from Durham, NC. He grew up in Kalamazoo and attended Calvin College and Seminary. Nate and his wife, Sara, have three college-aged children. He enjoys backpacking, running, and laughing. His favorite part about being a pastor at FCC is the front row seat he gets to see God at work in people's lives.  Click here to send Nate an email.

Drew DeVries, Student Ministry and Outreach

Drew was born in Washington state before moving to Byron Center, MI when he was in elementary school.  He is a graduate of Kuyper College and has been active as a volunteer, intern, and apprentice in student ministry for several years before starting at FCC.  Drew enjoys hiking, reading a good book, watching movies, and just hanging out.  He has a strong passion for seeing students understand their identity in Christ and helping them grow in that identity. Click here to send Drew an email.

Lori Houskamp, Family Ministry

Lori has served at FCC in Children & Family Ministries since 2005. She grew up in the Tri-Cities and then spent several years teaching in Grand Rapids after graduating from Calvin University. Lori and her husband Mike are now empty nesters, but enjoy gathering with family when they can. Lori enjoys hiking and running, traveling and activities by the water. Lori loves collaborating with volunteers and watching people of all ages grow in their faith walk. Click here to send Lori an email.

Saskia Kendziera, Children’s Ministry

Saskia coordinates the Sunday morning Children’s Ministry. She is a graduate of Wheaton College and earned her master’s degree at The George Washington University. She and her husband, Dean, have four children. Saskia practiced as a Physician Assistant before homeschooling her children. She loves to cook and garden but can most often be found reading a book. Saskia has been involved in Children’s Ministry for many years and loves the way that our church values everyone in our community, no matter their age. Click here to send Saskia an email.
