Dear Ferrysburg Community Church Family,
We are excited to share the proposed financial plan for 2026 with you. Please scroll down to view it. We believe that a financial plan is not just a set of spending and income goals. It is a statement of faith in what God will do when we offer him our financial resources. The right-hand columns of the plan show amounts and figures that we plan to spend. These are important. But the most important column is on the left - the programs and investments we are making into our church family and into our community.
Some of these line items represent growth in our relationship with God: Children’s and Student Ministries and Worship Ministries. Some categories reflect growth in our relationships within our church family: social activities, LifeGroups, and hospitality. Other categories point to our growth in announcing God’s kingdom to our community and world: missionary support, GEMS, Kids Hope, and Kingdom Investment. All of this is supported by a devoted staff and a well-kept facility.
In all these ways, we are growing and becoming more like Jesus. Financial capital and personnel alone can never accomplish this. But as we entrust our time, energy, and financial resources to the Lord, he makes us grow closer to him, deeper in his family, and louder in his world. Thank you for giving generously so far in 2025. With a strong finish, we anticipate meeting all our expenses and our commitments to denominational mission, as well as getting off to a strong start in 2026.
We ask that you prayerfully consider this financial plan and how God is calling you to support it and the ministry it facilitates. The congregational meeting to discuss the plan will take place on November 23, immediately following the service. If you have specific questions after reviewing the financial plan, it would be helpful to our presenters if you could submit your questions before the presentation. Please send an email to office@ferrysburgchurch.com with your specific question, and it will be forwarded to our Finance Team. You may also direct questions to an Administrative Council member.
The congregational vote will take place on November 30 during the service. If you will not be present to vote on the 30th, there are absentee ballots in the church office. You can also send an email to office@ferrysburgchurch.com, asking our administrative assistant to submit an absentee ballot on your behalf. If there are any reasons that the financial plan needs to be revised after the congregational meeting, the vote will be pushed back to allow adequate time to review the revisions.
Thank you for your support of God’s work at Ferrysburg Community Church.
In Christ,
FCC Council and Finance Team
